Day 33

Dear readers,
finally here are some better shots of my new tights:

I'm sorry I didn't show you the pictures on the weekend already - as I've promised. I've spent some time in the corner for that... :-)

Seriously - does anyone have any punishment ideas?

Day 28

I found a pair of white wool tights today. Yay! They are super hot... I mean it's really hot in them. I hope it doesn't get too warm until April, otherwise I will have to suffer. ;-) Sorry for the bad pic. This is just a quick post from my mobile phone - gonna meet some friends this evening and have to go now. Unfortunately I have to change out of my uniform for that. :-(

I'll make better pictures on the weekend.

Day 25

Dear readers,

first of all: sorry that I didn't write another post earlier. I moved home a few weeks ago and there's still much to do. Also, work keeps me busy. (But I shouldn't complain - it's better than no work, isn't it?)

So let's get to the point. Wearing the uniform is ... a little less awesome than expected. It almost became a routine already. I try to wear it whenever I can (though I have to admit that there were two or three instances where I didn't...) but "real life" gets in the way often. Usually, on a working day, I'm home again around 6 PM. Then I do the stuff where I have to leave the flat (e. g. taking out the trash) and then I change into my uniform until I go to bed (at around 11 PM). On the weekend I usually wear my uniform all day, unless I go out or expect someone to visit. Luckily I didn't have unexpected visitors until now.

In the comments on my previous post my reader Stacey also asked if I bought the tights yet. Unfortunately I haven't yet. Like I said, I just moved to another home, so I still have some stuff to buy which is more important right now. But the salary should be payed on tuesday. Then I can go "shopping" again. ;-) (although shopping for a school uniform item isn't exactly what I would call shopping)
Also, I haven't yet found white wool tights in adult sizes which aren't too expensive. I certainly don't want to spend 50 € (70 $, 43 £) just on a pair of tights.

Perhaps deep down inside me, I don't want to wear the tights. Seeing (and feeling) my bare legs peeking out from under the skirt (plus the knee socks) makes me feel incredibly girly. But my reader Richard already demanded that I wear tights with the winter uniform, so I have to buy & wear them real soon (unless a whole bunch of other readers tell me otherwise).
Like I wrote in the comments, I'd like to get to the point where I'm not allowed to (not) wear something by my own decision but rather being dependent on luck (e.g. rolling the dice) or other stuff I can't control (e.g. wearing something depending on the weather forecast and not the actual temperatures).

I'd be very happy to hear some more ideas from my readers. :-)

Day 5

Dear readers,
the first few days have passed. So far, I still like my uniform. ;-)
It got a bit colder the last couple of days and today I really needed to turn the heating up for the first time since spring. Three layers (wool blazer, cardigan and long sleeved blouse) keep my upper body warm but my lower body is only protected by my knee socks and the skirt. When I sit, my knees and a few centimeters of my thighs are not covered at all. It's really not fair that only boys can wear trousers and we girls have to wear skirts! ;-) (there's a nice fictional story on that matter here)
I really should buy a pair of wool tights since the poll permitted me wearing those as well. But for now I can only turn up the heating and keep my legs together.
Love,
Cornelia

Day 1 aka Let the Games begin

Dear readers,
the final items arrived today. I'm so happy! Now my One-Year-Project can finally begin. Below are some images.
The full winter uniform: hat, blazer, cardigan, blouse, tie, skirt, knee socks and Mary Janes.

Someone's getting in trouble there already! :-) Not wearing the uniform properly - the blazer has to be worn at all times.
I'm so excited. Let's see if I can make it through the whole year.
Lots of love,
Cornelia

I ordered everything ... for the most part.

Dear readers,
the poll has ended and the results are in. I ordered everything on Thursday and can't wait for it to be delivered because I'll have a few days off from work early in October. Should be the perfect way to start my project. The only problem: I couldn't find a navy blue skirt in my size - there were all out of stock. :-( So I took the option that got the second most votes (grey skirt). I'll be checking the adult school uniform stores regularly though - perhaps the navy blue skirt will be available again in a few weeks.
So here is my uniform list:
Winter uniform (to be worn until 15th April 2012 and again from 4th September 2012)
  • navy blue blazer*
  • long-sleeved white blouse
  • navy blue/saxy blue-striped tie
  • navy blue cardigan
  • grey pleated skirt
  • white knee socks**
  • black Mary Jane shoes
  • school hat
Summer uniform (to be worn from 16th April 2012 until 3rd September 2012)
  • navy blue blazer*
  • short-sleeved blue dress*** or short-sleved white blouse with navy blue/saxe blue-striped tie and grey pleated skirt
  • navy blue cardigan optional
  • white knee socks
  • black Mary Jane shoes
  • school hat
P.E. uniform***
  • white polo blouse
  • navy blue P.E. skirt
  • white ankle socks
  • white trainers
Notes:
* I found an awesome navy blue blazer with a white trim - looking very schoolgirl-y.
** There was a tie in the poll between white knee socks, white wool tights and grey knee tights. Since I only found white knee socks on the website where I ordered the other stuff, I went along with that. It shouldn't be too hard to find wool tights elsewhere though. I'll probably go with white wool tights since the voters clearly were in favor of white socks.
*** I couldn't find a dress in my size yet (not a problem since I won't need it until April) and haven't ordered the P.E. uniform yet because I was running low on money on my PayPal account and the other items clearly were more important.
If anyone is interested, I ordered here and here. As you can see above, I also ordered one ugly looking hat (that item wasn't covered in the poll - but I couldn't let my fingers of it). Pictures will follow once everything arrived (probably the first week of October, hopefully sooner).
Lots of love,
Cornelia

First!

Dear readers,
there are many websites out there with half-naked people wearing costumes that are meant to be school uniforms. This isn't one of them.
I still remember what triggered my interest in feminine clothing. I think it was in 5th grade. There was a picture (and a whole chapter for that matter) about school uniforms in one of our english school books. We didn't have to wear uniforms to school here in Germany, so this topic was already interesting. But that picture really stuck with me. There was very good looking girl about my age (back then of course) who wore a white blouse, a sleeveless pullover, a navy blue skirt and white knee socks. The girls in my school sadly just wore t-shirts and jeans all the time. (to be fair, we boys never went to school wearing a suit either ... well, actually we did once. And it was legendary. But that's another story ;-) ) I kept looking at this picture all the time. At first I wished the girls would dress like her, then I wished I could dress like her.
Now, 15 years later this might be possible on an everyday-basis for the first time. I intend to wear a school uniform for an entire year (at home of course ) so that I'll finally know if this is as great as I always thought or if this better remains a fantasy. Probably the latter (would be nice to hear from someone who had to wear school uniform in their childhood) but I just have the urge to find that out for myself.
Anyway, it would be dull if I could select my uniform myself (because you can't do that in real life either), so it would be nice if you would select the uniform items for me (you don't have to be registered there to vote). I'll then buy the items from an adult school uniform supplier - these are proper uniforms, not some fancy costumes.
I already ordered a pair of black Mary-Jane-shoes. I always loved those and can't wait to wear them. Pictures will follow when the whole outfit was delivered.
If you have any ideas about some school uniform rules for me to follow (e. g. tie is to be tied with a certain knot, ...), just let me know. This'll add to the experience.
Lots of love,
Cornelia
