Drumroll, please.

Dear readers,

guess what was in the mail the other day...

I was totally surprised because I didn't expect my new uniform to be delivered until the end of February. Not that I'd be complaining though.

Summer uniform

My first impression of the summer dress: I like the fabric of the dress. And it would be really comfy to wear - if it wouldn't be so tight in the chest and shoulder area. If it was just a tiny bit narrower the seams would probably burst. So I'm not quite sure if I can pull this off as summer uniform. In everyday wear the dress will probably be ruined pretty quickly. It's a shame, because it really looks nice (well, it would look better on a thinner person). The bow in the back is a nice touch, too.

Oh, and I almost died of laughter when I read the following advice:

Keep away from fire ... who would have thought that? It's a good thing that they've put it in there. :o)

Winter uniform

First impression: It looks a lot better than my old uniform. My old uniform was basically navy blue from head to toe. The new uniform looks much more colorful and "friendly". The new gymslip is also shorter than the old one. I think it has the perfect length now. The blazer also fits better at the arms/sleeves.

I love it. Yeah, I think I'm in love with my new (winter) uniform. It's totally comfy and it looks pretty.

I wonder if I will wear this uniform more often, compared to the old one...

Anyway, keep away from the fire, people.

Ordering my new uniform

Dear readers,

I pondered a lot over the last few days and I finally came to the conclusion to take the poll results as they are now. Even if it is obvious that someone has tempered with it, there's no way of knowing if there are other manipulated votes as well. And when you start to discard one set of votes - where do you stop? I therefore will buy my new school uniform according to the results.

My new uniform looks like this:
Winter
  • maroon blazer
  • maroon cardigan
  • white long-sleeved blouse and necktie
  • grey gymslip
  • maroon knickers
  • white knee socks
  • (maroon?) felt hat
Summer
  • maroon blazer
  • summer dress or white long-sleeved blouse, necktie and grey gymslip
  • maroon knickers
  • white ankle socks
  • (maroon?) felt hat

Before I change my mind again I have already ordered most of the stuff. The only missing things are the cardigan, the felt hat and the summer dress. Some of the voters have provided me with other online shops though, so I will have a look there.

Closing the uniform poll prematurely because of manipulation

Dear readers,

sadly I have to inform you that I had to close my school uniform poll prematurely because someone has been manipulating it over the last few days, possibly even right from the start.

The MisterPoll website lets me - as poll creator - see more detailed poll results. I can view not only the overall results but also what each single voter has selected. There's an uncanny accumulation of identical or almost-identical votes which have been repeatedly submitted in quick succession (over the course of just a couple of minutes each).

The intention of the poll was to assemble my new school uniform by the "hive mind", to let others select my uniform for me because a real schoolgirl couldn't select her own uniform as well. Now while this is mostly still the case even though someone has voted several times, it clearly undermines the votes of others, giving one person an unjustifiable advantage, and manipulates the "hive mind's" intentions.

I will deliberate over the weekend whether I will simply buy the uniform items that I like, or whether to try and "clean up" the poll results, discarding obvious forged entries.

I'm sad that one person tried to spoil the fun not only for me but probably also for at least some of the other voters. I'm sure there were some doms/teachers among them who took pleasure in selecting my uniform items but whose vote is negligible thanks to the manipulations.

And to the manipulator ... I'm pretty sure I know who you are. And I'm really angry because I told you to stop but instead you even increased the manipulations. Shame on you.
